Thankfully, they still had all the great family love and fun in them.

I was pretty impressed with your determination to make sure that your family had a tree. I don't know that I would have gone to the lengths that you did to make it happen. I'm sure that that Christmas ended up being one of the most special as a result of your efforts!

I remember that we had a little mom and pop store in Seattle where we most often got our trees from, and we could usually pick one up for like $2.99 or $3.99. Funny how some of the traditions of the holidays are kind of what helps them to seem like the holidays.Blast from the Pasthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03217073481077042162noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3417826613564647688.post-57429865776863995492009-11-30T10:33:09.709-08:002009-11-30T10:33:09.709-08:00I remember when my sister and her boyfriend said t...I remember when my sister and her boyfriend said they were going to get the family Christmas tree. He lived in Slickville and said there was so many in the woods, why pay for one. I tagged along for the adventure. I found out it was no fun trudging thru the woods with 6 -8 inches of snow and no decent tree in sight! He too climbed a tree and cut off the top. Then it seemed like forever to haul that tree out of the woods (this is PA woods - many hills and valleys). We never did that again!peachpsuhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06606677715198236278noreply@blogger.com
